Call for applications - Current Affairs and Clinical Research 2018

Applications are now closed for Current Affairs and Clinical Research at the CCSSA/SASPEN congress 2018.

Please note: This is completely separate from the congress poster/oral presentations. Candidates are welcome to apply for both entities.

SASPEN is seeking applications for “Current Affairs and Clinical Research” presentations at the CCSSA/SASPEN congress that is to be held in Durban, 24 – 26 August 2018.

What are Current Affairs and Clinical Research?

SASPEN is introducing this new slot on the scientific program to allow dietitians and clinicians a platform where original research and interesting case studies with a nutritional focus can be presented.

Presentation slots of 20 min each will be available for successful candidates to present in.

Who can apply?

This call is open to all dietitians and clinicians with an interest in nutrition who has research or clinical cases for congress presentation.

How to Apply:

The application form can be found here.

The application form shall be signed by the main applicant and send to saspenservices@vdw.co.za. The application form shall be accompanied by an abstract of the research or case study to be presented. See application form for abstract specifications.

The deadline for submission of applications is 12 July 2018. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Acceptance:

Applications will be reviewed by die SASPEN scientific committee who reserve the right to accept and allocate abstracts for oral presentation. The official language of the congress is English. Presenters of selected abstracts will be notified by the 24th of July 2018 of the outcome of the process. Presenters must be registered as congress delegates. Early registration fees will apply.

Funding:

Presenters of selected abstracts are responsible for their own registration, travel and accommodation costs.
